Organizational Setting
The Director General’s Office (DGO) provides leadership and coordination for all IAEA activities at the executive level for meeting Member States’ needs, and achieving a one-house approach and a results-based management.The Office for Public Information and Communication provides objective, accurate and timely information about the IAEA and nuclear developments that fosters public understanding of the IAEA’s global roles. It also provides advice to the Director General on relations with the media and organizes press briefings. The Office coordinates the communication activities for the rest of the house and assists in the media aspects of major IAEA events and conferences.The Web, Digital Media and Public Information Materials Section has corporate responsibility for the editorial management, creation and development of information products with a particular focus on the web, digital media, internal communications and cross-departmental promotional material.
Main Purpose
The Digital Information Manager actively supports Director OPIC and senior IAEA staff in generating digital stories highlighting IAEA activities and increasing knowledge and understanding of nuclear issues. She/he is also actively involved in other outreach activities to increase public awareness and understanding of nuclear safe, secure and peaceful technics and applications and the IAEA’s work, as well as public engagement with the Agency corporate digital content and in producing communication outcomes dashboards and analysis.
Role
The Digital Information Manager is: 1) a digital media strategist fostering internal and external awareness of nuclear and IAEA’s work for peace and development around the world2) a writer and editor handling the production of digital content and public information materials to help the public and key stakeholders better understand the IAEA’s mandate and work in support to Member States, 3) a communication expert of multimedia and data visualization for social media in order to achieve greater engagement with the different aspects of the Agency’s work; 4) a measurement and evaluation analyst able to use data analysis to showcase the value and impact of the communication outputs and use these insights to shape the digital communications strategy.

Improve understanding and increase awareness of IAEA activities and nuclear issues by writing and editing articles, social media content and public information materials.
Help drive strategic external communications policy and engagement by devising and managing proactive digital outreach web content, and social media campaigns, as well as in promoting key events and nuclear issues for various audiences, including the private sector for resource mobilization purposes.
Oversee the planning and production and edit of web and social media coverage of events that would prompt better public awareness and understanding of nuclear science, technics and applications as well as the IAEA and its activities.
Oversee the strategic engagement with social media influencers to reach new audiences and boost IAEA content, including digital campaigns.
Drive the implementation of the internal communication strategy including by the development of functional specifications for the intranet and regularly review the structure and design of the intranet and ensure that intranet content adheres to Agency branding and editorial guidelines, and by developing content for the Agency Intranet and coordinating internal communication activities.
Provide the wider Communications team with digital media insights and audience analysis to support production and dissemination of content internally and externally using evidence based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards analysis.
Collaborate with brand, multimedia, graphic design and social media colleagues to ensure an integrated, consistent approach on visuals and messaging.
Collaborate with webmaster and programmer colleagues to ensure a cohesive vision and impact-based approach for web content, especially regarding the management of the external and internal websites, including their migration when relevant.

Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $77326 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 45158*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks’ annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
