This assignment involves conducting substantive desk review and research on development challenges, issues, and opportunities in Indonesia. The focus areas include policy analysis, proposal development around energy transition, digitalisation of public service delivery and e-Governance, engagement of the private sector in renewable energy, jobs and social protection, youth employment, blue economy, gender equality and women empowerment, and fiscal and macroeconomic policies.
The results of this research will support the UNDP Indonesia Country Office in formulating strategies, policies, and project concept notes aligned with Indonesia’s governance structures, ministries/agencies’ mandates, development priorities, and policy frameworks. The Online Volunteers’ contributions will enhance UNDP’s efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing evidence-based insights and recommendations.
We are looking for 1 Online Volunteer who have experience in research and analysis with excellent writing skills. Under the direct supervision of the Economist, UNDP Indonesia, the UNV’s task will include the following responsibilities:
– Discuss and determine parameters for the research and analysis
– Conduct background research and analysis on key development issues and challenges
– Perform analytical work to support findings
– Develop concise reports on the findings to assist the Economist identify and gather sources
The average estimated workload is expected to include roughly producing 20 documents over the course of the entire duration.
