Support in planning and designing of construction activities

• Coordinate with the Area Manager or PM in the planning,
• Calculate work norms for all cash for work activities.
• Design construction activities according to the required standards.
• Prepare details of bill of quantity specifying materials and construction works.

Support in procurement of construction

• Coordinate tender and procurement processes.
• Ensure that procurement procedures are followed during tendering and supply of materials.

Undertake construction and FFW activities

• Selects site for construction
• Gives direction to FFW activities taking all the data and analysis from the field

Undertake monitoring of construction activities

• Monitor implementation of all Cash for Work Activities.
• Verify the quality of materials from suppliers before any materials are purchased.
• Verify the quantity of materials supplied for any construction activities.

Reporting and other activities

• Report the completion of construction activities to the respective supervisor.
• Prepare reports and submit to ADP team leader.
• Perform other tasks that may be required by the WV township team leader or National office.

Perform other tasks duly assign by supervisor/ manager

• Carry out or engage tasks with good judgement and responsibly.
• Perform additional duties and assignments proactively.

To assume personal responsibility for career development

• By actively participating with manager in producing a relevant and jointly agreed development plan.
• The plan will identify key areas which will assist in personal and professional development consistent with World Vision’s strategic goals.

Required Professional Experience

• Must have at least 3 years experience in community development construction activities including water development, school construction, road renovations, health infrastructure development, etc.
• Experience international NGO or UN organizations has added value.
• Experience in community mobilization is preferred.

Required Education, training, license, registration and certification

• University Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills in Myanmar and English are essential.
• Understanding how to write effective proposals
• Excellent interpersonal, team management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills including Auto CAD, MS Word and Excel.
• Willing to learn and follow World Vision’s core values, policies, procedures, systems and ethos.
