Responsibilities:

 

TITLE: Information Management Assistant(Local)

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Nutrition/Program Implementation LOCATION: Sittwe Office, Rakhine Area

Number of Position: 1(One)

GRADE: NAT-5

CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed Term

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The main purpose of this role is to support and facilitate Nutrition MEAL Officer effective and

successful monitoring and evaluation of Nutrition Program activities – in collaboration with the Project Officers, Project Assistants and data-base focal person of Nutrition Program implementation. S/he is responsible for all work WFP funded project related to database management, documentation, filing and storage and compile data for various project reports

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Travel: Occasional travel Community site and regional office

Role Dimensions: Regular contact of basic factual information

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Management Information System

 Responsible for database management including database development, accurate data entry, verification and reporting of Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program (BSFP) and Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) program.

 Ensure filing, documenting, and maintaining both soft and hard copies of all distribution records and evidence.

 Ensure accurately enter data captured in the established Management Information System (MIS) and provide data and information in response to requests from internal and external parties on a timely manner.

 Compile the monthly reports and consolidate them into the Information Management System and produce overall combined report with technical support from MEAL Officer.

 Perform data quality checks, data screening and undertake validation of the reports with source documents on a regular basis.

 Ensure programme team have standard FRM forms/tools for documenting complaints and feedback on an ongoing basis during project implementation.

 Enter filled FRM forms data for all types of complaints in the FRM database and share with MEAL officer and accountability focal point person on a monthly basis.

 Maintain complaints and feedback database of all types of complaints, for the project for project area, including tracking progress against actions identified.

 Work with program team to ensure information relating to Save the Children and our activities is shared widely within communities in which we are working and provide for their participation and feedback in line with relevant guidelines and frameworks.

Monitoring and Reporting

 Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all nutrition activities to determine the extent to which they are meeting objectives/outputs and to undertake modification /action needed to improve Program achievements.

 Undertake regular field visits to programme areas to learn programme services for improving the quality of data.

 Under the guidance of MEAL Officer, collect and report Quality benchmark documents regularly.

 Coordinate between program senior level and field level implementation to monitor closely for quality purpose.

 Combine and report overall MEAL data of BSFP and IMAM program.

 Assist the MEAL Officer in conducting post-distribution monitoring and assessments of nutrition program.

Capacity Building

 Assist MEAL Officer in coaching/guiding and building capacity of nutrition teams to collect and manage their relevant data of MEAL.

 Ensure staff understand how the database can support their work and in particular, the link between the database and the wider information flow and the role they need to play in making this effective.

 Participate in regular learning café.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degress in information Technology and other related fields

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

• Working experience as M&E Filelds in Save the Children over 2 years and other relevant areas

• Working experiences in Nutrition Program with development and Humanitarin context

• Working experiences with IMPACT Platform or DHIS tool

• Excellent personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Excellent on Computer proficiency

• Willingness to travel and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children.

• Willingness and capability to comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies, including the Child Safeguarding Policy

• Understanding on Local context and Local Language.
