JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

The CPIMS officer is responsible for complete understanding of all Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre data entry, capabilities, storage, and security. He/she is also an expert on the conflict and humanitarian data and the Partner’s Portal (IPP) or activity info and can facilitate partner registrations. The Information Officer also provides technical support for creating visualizations, Maps, graphs and dashboards. Furthermore, the Information Officer is responsible for the implementation of the information management system as part of case management responses for children vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence.

Technical expertise, skills and knowledge

Qualifications/ experience essential:

  • BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Statistics, or other relevant fields
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Information management, Database management, and Data analysis.
  • Experience with managing child-related data, more preferably CPIMS/CPIMS+.
  • Excellent understanding of data protection and information-sharing protocols.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted and understand their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
