Position Overview

The Coordinator, Impact Philanthropy (Coordinator) is part of an integrated 100-member Resource Generation Branch (RGB) that supports a $230 million annual operating budget, allowing Partners In Health (PIH) to operate more than 300 medical facilities in 11 countries with more than 18,000 staff.

The Coordinator supports two senior and key positions at PIH: the Managing Director of Major and Principal Gifts (MGPG) and the Senior Director, Impact Philanthropy. Reporting to the Senior Director of Impact Philanthropy, the Coordinator is a member of the larger development team and assists in its efforts to cultivate, steward, and solicit donors and raise the important resources needed to advance our mission.

The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include administrative support and the execution of development projects at the Impact Philanthropy level (gifts of $5m+). This person serves as an integral member of the Development team, attending meetings, taking minutes, and tracking actions and outcomes from the meetings. In addition to supporting Development, the Coordinator works closely with several other PIH teams including Marketing/Communications, the Board Strategy and Engagement and Partnerships/Policy teams.

Responsibilities

Provide high-level support of both the Impact Philanthropy and MGPG programs by tracking and reporting on donor engagement for the Senior Director and Managing Director, as well as for the CEO, Board Chair and Co-Founders and other leaders as needed.
Managing high-level and strategic cross-team meetings related to Principal and Impact level donors.
Develop and deliver Principal and Impact gift-level briefings and donor profiles for executive leadership.
Manages travel logistics as needed for senior staff.
Thorough and comprehensive understanding of expense tracking including for events.
Will both undertake these tasks and act as the pointperson for other coordinators with questions.
Participate in rotating meeting management, including scheduling, facilitating, recording minutes, and following up on action items. Provide general support to all team members as needed.
Provide generalized short- and long-term project support, sometimes cross-team, updating processes and procedures as needed and maintaining protocol. Ensure completion of items with great care, follow through, and close attention to detail.

Qualifications

Two to three years of nonprofit experience or related work.
Solid computer skills with the capability to learn and utilize new software applications and technologies in database management. Excellent skills in the functional use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; working knowledge of Salesforce or similar donor database a plus.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country.
Ability to assess priorities and manage a variety of competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
Occasional evening availability required.
Commitment to social justice strongly desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay for this position at commencement of employment is $46,000/year.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan with employer match, as well as participate in organization-sponsored medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Full time employees will receive 15 days of vacation, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, and 3 volunteer days in addition to paid time off during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, the week of July 4th, and 11 additional holidays annually.
