The UNOPS South Sudan office based in Juba works closely with the Government of South Sudan and helps a wide range of local and international partners improve the lives of the South Sudanese people by implementing infrastructure and procurement projects. The office has project activities in various locations in the country and is working in a range of sectors in South Sudan including: transport, education, health, post-conflict stabilization and emergency response.
The internship is a learning and working opportunity that targets fresh graduates. The intern will assist the Human Resources Unit and support the Ethiopia Multi-Country Office (ETMCO) – the South Sudan Office. The intern will be exposed to practical learning and working experiences that foster the development of his /her path. The Intern will work full-time and follow the same working hours as UNOPS employees.

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the HR Officer, the intern will be expected to support HR tasks and selectively drive particular work items on their own as part of their on-the-job learning program. His/her responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

This internship is not designed to lead to a staff position with UNOPS. Therefore, there should be no expectation of employment at the end of the internship.
Interns may be eligible for a monthly stipend from UNOPS provided that they do not receive funds from other institutions.
