Positions may be in any of the World Bank’s offices worldwide. The World Bank’s Education Global Practice in the East Asia and Pacific region focuses on improving educational outcomes and opportunities in several countries in this region. Our work encompasses a series of initiatives aimed at improving access to quality education, from early childhood to higher education and vocational training. This includes projects and analytical work to strengthen education systems, improve the quality of teaching, modernize curricula, and increase equitable access to education, particularly for disadvantaged groups. Our work also addresses region-specific challenges, such as adapting education to rapidly changing economies, closing educational gaps between rural and urban areas, and leveraging technology for learning, while engaging in policy dialogue with governments to support educational reforms and sustainable financing of education.
