Location of Position: Washington, DC
Telework/Remote Eligibility: Telework four days per pay period (two days per week). The position is not remote eligible.
Open Period: July 16, 2024 – August 5, 2024
Appointment Type: This is an excepted service, time-limited appointment that is not to exceed one year and seven months with the potential for two two-year extensions.

Description of Organization: The position is located within IPI, which advances USAID’s work to end economic and social inequality, inequity, and vulnerability, and to future-proof development assistance through innovation, experimentation, and more diverse partnerships. IPI advances a systems approach to deliver cutting-edge technical assistance to Missions and other parts of the Agency to advance longstanding and emerging priorities, including digital development, localization and non-traditional partnerships, gender equality and equity for marginalized populations, and educational and economic opportunities for all. In alignment with IPI’s mandate, GenDev provides strategic leadership and technical assistance for the integration of gender into USAID’s work across sectors.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen (please indicate within email);
  • Must have one year of relevant experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (FS-03 or GS-13 equivalent) of this position. Examples of this specialized experience include:
    • Working on the rollout, implementation, and information management of gender equality, women’s economic security, and/or care infrastructure initiatives;
    • Coordinating and compiling responses to internal and external requests for information from the White House, Congress, the interagency, and external partners including technical content, metrics, and budget;
    • Organizing teams for meetings to address internal and external requests for information, as well as to provide updates and share information;
    • Creating talking points, briefers and communication products, including developing and managing a contact list; and
    • Coordinating events; and
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
