In this part-time, max term role (for approximately 11 months), you’ll work as a part of our Mobile Youth Outreach Short Term Remand Pilot team in Wagga to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Youth Specialist plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for young people. Whether it’s providing targeted support to young people in short term remand or developing and implementing individualised intervention plans that address the unique needs and challenges faced by these young people, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

  • Provision of quality service delivery
  • Engagement with young people and families
  • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes
  • Implementing culturally appropriate sessions

  • Providing assertive outreach and culturally appropriate early intervention sessions via Mobile Youth Van to young people 10-17 years in school and out of school.
  • Facilitating youth-led arts and recreational activities, mentoring in practical skills, career and education support for favourable outcomes.
  • Working in collaboration with partners (government and non-government) towards common goals to meet the complex needs of clients.
  • Actively participating in community events to promote program impact and grow program reach
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and records, and input data into internal and external online systems.
