JOB SUMMARY:
Job Overview: The headquarters Resettlement Team oversees the implementation and quality of services for early resettlement programming across the IRC’s growing network of local offices and affiliates. The team supports IRC affiliate and local office staff in implementing high quality programs by providing technical assistance, training, monitoring and evaluation of program activities. The Reception and Placement (R&P) Program, funded by the Bureau for Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) offers early resettlement services for arrivals entering through the US Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). In FY 2023 the IRC began a special partnership with emerging resettlement agencies (both local and national) to mentor and train local and headquarters staff in the management and implementation of the R&P Program. In partnership with the emerging resettlement agencies, and with supervision from the Deputy Director, USRAP Capacity Building, the Program Officer, USRAP Capacity Building will train, monitor and deliver guidance to support the new resettlement agencies’ implementation of the R&P Program. This position will last through September 2025, the duration of the project.
