JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

This effort will help us communicate our impact more effectively, recruit dedicated individuals, and ultimately strengthen our capacity to deliver life-changing programs and services.

UNICEF operates in some of the most challenging environments to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. Our work spans various sectors, including child protection, education, health, nutrition, water and sanitation, and emergency response. The communications and talent outreach teams play a crucial role in ensuring that our mission, values, and the impact of our work are communicated effectively to diverse audiences, including potential employees, partners, and donors. This social media campaign is part of a broader strategy to enhance our digital presence and engagement, highlighting our efforts and successes in these key areas.

Volunteers need to understand several key aspects of UNICEF to accomplish this task effectively. First, it is essential to grasp UNICEF’s mission and vision. UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfill their potential. Our primary audience includes potential job applicants, partners, donors, and the general public interested in child rights and development. Volunteers should be able to tailor content to appeal to these diverse groups.

Familiarity with UNICEF’s branding, including tone, style, and visual guidelines, is essential to ensure consistency and maintain the organization’s credibility. Volunteers should also be aware of UNICEF’s current programs, key focus areas, and recent achievements to create relevant and timely content. Additionally, knowledge of effective social media strategies and tools, including the use of hashtags, engagement techniques, and analytics, will help maximize the campaign’s reach and impact.

By integrating these elements into their work, volunteers will help amplify UNICEF’s message, engage with a wider audience, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of our talent outreach and communication efforts.
