UNICEF Haiti Country Office (CO) intends to build a strong partnership for Child Rights with mass media, national and local government, civil society and other development partners. To pursue this intention, the CO publishes a wide range of materials. UNICEF Haiti is planning to recruit a Communication Associate (Digital and Multimedia Assets) to help the office meet its growing need for quality multimedia production services. The incumbent will provide technical support to the Communication section in producing multimedia materials – including photos and videos, in designing UNICEF publications and contribute to the development and improvement of the design, branding and layout of materials produced by UNICEF. It will ensure that CO’s multimedia products and reports are following UNICEF branding guidelines, provide the best possible functionality and usability to UNICEF partners and contribute to the overall branding process.
Under the supervision of the Advocacy & Communication Manager/P4 the incumbent will support the design of innovative fundraising and communication materials – including, photos, videos, and advocacy materials (factsheets, snapshots, infographics, banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards etc) and contribute to UNICEF Haiti website and social media platforms feeding.

The Sr. Communication Associate (Digital and Multimedia Assets) will employ creative and innovative approaches to all multimedia materials. The final products will be designed to UNICEF brand and style standards. She/He will also support the feeding of UNICEF website.
The Sr. Communication Associate (Digital and Multimedia Assets) is also accountable for the delivery of effective and efficient technical and operational assistance to the supervisor in the administration, maintenance, documentation, and monitoring all UNICEF’s networks and network components. Ensures that effective and efficient network operation and services, including software, hardware and operational support to ensure minimal down time and maximum productivity.
Main activities:
Haiti is a digitalized society with a very active social-media environment. The post holder’s efficiency and efficacy in terms of maintaining UNICEF’s digital presence in Haiti (in cooperation with colleagues and as per organizational policy and guidelines) are key to UNICEF’s communication efforts in support of advocacy, fundraising and brand-positioning objectives. The role also plays an important part in local implementation of UNICEF’s Global Communication and Public Advocacy Strategy.

Remarks:
UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments are also subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be cancelled.
