The Opportunity

The Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) Manager will ensure the effective management and coordination of the child protection project. The Manager will lead the operational implementation of the child protection project while coordinating technical needs and overseeing related undertakings.

In addition, the CPiE Manager will ensure effective management of the overall grant with particular attention to donor contractual compliances and obligations and the provision of proactive support to the Program Area Offices as required. The role will maintain a coherent overview of implementation and performance against key CP indicators, monitor budgets have forecasting oversight of overall grants and ensure appropriate, timely, and accurate sharing of information with all relevant sections within Plan International, Donors, and National Offices as necessary.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MA preferred) in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Community Development, Law, Political Science,and related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience of which at least three years’ experience with NGOs.

Languages required:

  • Fluency in English language is essential
  • In addition to Amharic other local Knowledge of Local Languages is a desirable

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
