JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Partnership Officer supports the Business Development team who represents the organization’s shift towards localization by maintaining and opening partnership opportunities with a focus on local corporations through fundraising tactics for short- and medium-term gain. Therefore, the Corporate Partnership Officer will be responsible for leading relationships with local corporate donor/client accounts in Indonesia. Whereas traditional fundraising or account management treats each donor/client relationship in nearly the same way, key account management reorganizes teams and business culture to develop different approaches to their largest donors/clients across the organization. Consequently, this position has greater responsibility to support the Corporate Partnership Manager both for the donors/clients and in their interactions with employees and other departments to ensure greater lifetime value for their donors/clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New Business Development (25%)
    • Support Business Development team in review, operationalise and track progress against Save the Children Indonesia’s fundraising strategy for the 2022-2024 and 2025-2027 strategic plan period, to achieve and increase country impact.
    • Work with Save the Children regional office to explore the potential for private sectors partnerships and innovative ways to fundraise.

    Proposal Development (35%)

    • Lead to coordinates the proposal development process for all funding opportunities with Technical Advisors including MEAL, Operations (for field team inputs, logistics requirements, costings, etc.), Security, Awards Management, Finance, and HR (for staffing requirements).
    • Provide inputs from donor perspective during proposal development (project design and cost competitiveness)
    • Act as focal point for queries and information requests from donors and SCI.
    • Together with the finance team, coordinate responsible Value-For-Money calculations in all proposal development, as required by donors and internal Finance Director.
    • Support Business Development Officer in facilitate go/no go meetings, including preparation of opportunity decision guides in advance, ensuring informed and responsible decisions are made concerning new funding opportunities.

    Strategic Donor Engagement & Relationship Management (30%)

    • Developing a complete understanding of key account needs and establishing a timeline of performance, which include stewarding the donors/clients and to anticipate key account changes and required improvements
    • Resolving key donors/clients’ issues and complaints • Collaborating and working across department to establish effective project management and communication to donors/clients to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all donors/clients’ needs are met as well as to maximize revenue by up- selling or cross-selling.
    • Support the planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with donor, team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies.
    • Track donor engagement including engagement of program and technical staff with donors in the field, ensure accurate notes and actions are captured in the donor engagement tracker.
    • Effectively represent SC Indonesia’s programme objectives, capacity, and challenges to donors, fostering trusted long-term relationships. Represent Save the Children as a generalist, alongside technical experts, in donor or partner meetings and design processes as necessary.
    • Working with the relevant team to conduct vetting process.

    Portfolio Management (10%)

    • Negotiating contracts with the donors/clients
    • Maintaining fundraising tracker, dashboard

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional qualification in Corporate Partnership/Fundraising, Business Development, Fundraising.
  • University degree in international development, business administration, finance.
  • Experience managing grants, contracts & sub agreements in Non-Profit are preferable. • Fluency in English is essential (both writing and speaking).
  • Relevant experience managing local or international corporate donor funded projects particularly those addressing human/children’s rights and those applying partnership approaches.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading successful fundraising and new business development for non-governmental organizations. • Strong analytical skills, computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
  • Ability to work well with a team and establish relationships with other teams/offices.
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and English communication skills including influencing and negotiation.
  • Excellent time management and planning capacity
