Within the delegated authority and under the oversight of the EECC Programme Manager within UNDP Iraq and under the supervision of the Communications Specialist or his OiC, the online UN Volunteer (Graphic Designer), will support the team in designing and laying out 4 publications/reports, in addition to creating 1 ready-to-use, user-friendly template upcoming reports.

We are looking for three Online Volunteer/s who under the guidance of the Head of Programme and in close collaboration with the communications team support us by producing 3 of graphic designs for document/publication. In particular, each Online Volunteer is asked to:
– Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.;
– Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team;
– Develop the design according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the Communications and the Energy, Environment and Climate Change (EECC) teams at UNDP Iraq and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support the programme.

Task Description:
We are seeking an Online Volunteer (free of charge) who is proficient in using Adobe creative software suite.
• Assist in designing two reports/publications
• Contribute to the layout of two reports/publications
• Create a ready-to-use template for upcoming reports/publications using Adobe Creative Suite

DOA Requirements:

Demonstrated knowledge of graphic designing
Academic Qualifications: Highschool or bachelor’s degree with Graphic designing experience is required. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of functionally related professional experience is required.
Excellent design and computer skills, including Adobe creative software suite and MS office required.
