Role purpose:
To inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and in line with our theory of change, Save the Children aims to be a credible and powerful voice for children; because of this and in support of the strategic communication of overall organization goals, we believe if Creative Content Officer is critical to provide quality support for program team on ensuring the Save the Children brand is well implemented and impact story from in all programs will also be crafted and exposed to organization’s audience. Under the Organizational and Internal Communication Manager supervision, this position will be responsible for developing and executing engaging content based and aligning with organization communication and content strategy and target audience. You will play a crucial role in creating and delivering high-quality, original content across various platforms to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, engage our audience and support the marketing communication or fundraising content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, excellent writing skills, and a strong understanding of content brand and marketing techniques. He/she will work as part of the team to deliver flexible, cost effective and class-leading communications to enable Save the Children Indonesia achieve its objectives across organization by achieving strong brand through the delivery of quality content
SCOPE OF ROLE:

Dimensions:
Save the Children in Indonesia currently working in 16 provinces across Indonesia. With focus program in child protection program, health and nutrition, basic education, early childhood care and development, humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction and child governance program. The Creative Content Officer will act the focal point under the supervision of the Organizational and Internal Communications Manager for executing content production to build brand awareness, drive traffic, engage our audience align with Save the Children’s brand strategy. This position will also provide support field, and program related to identify potential content and production.
Key areas of accountability:
Implementation of Content Strategy:
- Under direction of Organizational and Internal Communications Manager, collaborate with the Media and Digital team, Advocacy and Campaign team, to identify and develop content based on the organization content strategy that support our brand objectives
Content Creation
- Under supervision of the Organizational and Internal Communications Manager, the Creative Content Officer will produce high quality communication products in a regular basis such as case study, press release, photo story, video story, and any other products to promote Save the Children’s works.
- Create compelling, original, and high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms, including web posts, articles, social media posts, videos, infographics, newsletter, and more.
Research and Planning
- Conduct thorough research to identify relevant topics, story, industry trends, and keywords for content creation.
- Identify projects activities worthy reporting on and work closely with across department team to gather stories for organization’s target audiences
- Plan and organize content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery
Brand Voice Tone
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all content, ensuring it aligns with Save the Children’s branding guideline and target audiences
Content Optimization
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and user experience. Incorporate relevant keywords, meta tags, and formatting techniques to improve visibility and engagement.
Industry Trends and Innovation
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in content creation and storytelling. Implement innovative approaches to enhance our content’s effectiveness.
Humanitarian Support
- Support on the production of humanitarian content for brand, media, campaign, and fundraising purposes
- Humanitarian content includes case study, photo, video, news, and feature article.
Communication Sources Centre
- Work with other units in department to maintain library system of all communications product
General
- Working in collaboration with other functions, departments, and projects across organization to support within his/her capacity as Creative Content Officer the implementation of Save the Children Indonesia country strategic plan and member goals.
- Any other task & responsibilities related to his/her role as program creative content officer given by the Supervisor and to comply with Save the Children’s policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, design communication visual, journalistic, or related areas.
- Having basic understanding and skills on writing, visual design, photography, and videography.
- At least 3 years’ experience in communications. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Sound understanding and ability to use various tools or software related to the creation or editing of communication materials.
- Experience with content management.
- Ability to work fast, effectively, and independently in often high-pressure environments, working across several teams to deliver high communications output.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and make decisions on what to prioritise when working under pressure on several projects.
- Innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
- Sound understanding of the major economic, social development and poverty issues as well as child rights issues in Indonesia will be advantage.
- Experience in working in multicultural environment.
- Commitment to Save the Children’s values.
- Experience of, and willingness to travel in the country, including for humanitarian mission, sometimes at short notice and for extended periods of time.
