JOB SUMMARY

 

Job Overview:

The Program Coordinator, Private Sponsorship Matching and Placement supports the Matching and Placement Program within the Welcome Corps initiative through assistance with administrative support, data tracking and information coordination tasks. The Program Coordinator assists with the tracking of program outputs and objectives against established targets. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Senior Program Officer and Program Officers, other Welcome Corps processing staff, the Community Sponsorship Team at IRC Headquarters, the Community Sponsorship Hub, and other Welcome Corps Consortium partners, and other external stakeholders. This position reports to the Senior Program Officer, Private Sponsorship Matching and Placement within the Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) Department.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Track and complete all administrative duties associated with the referral, placement, assurance and travel of privately sponsored refugee arrivals in the Welcome Corps, Welcome Corps on Campus and Welcome Corps at Work programs.
  • Maintain regular communication with private sponsor organizations and private sponsor groups on assurance deadlines.
  • Request pre-arrival transfers for cases previously allocated to Resettlement Agencies and prioritized for Welcome Corps private sponsorship.
  • Process and assess all amended assurances for program eligibility and update all required stakeholders.
  • Organize and update internal rosters of private sponsorship organization contact information.
  • Review and quality-check all assurances before assuring in START for the matching component of Private Sponsorship of Refugees.
  • Support additional processing related activities such as case returns to Resettlement Agency allocations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of 2-3 years working in U.S. based resettlement preferred. Previous experience in domestic or overseas U.S. Refugee Admissions processing, helpful.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of additional data analysis tools, preferred.
  • Experience with IRIS, Hummingbird or other resettlement data systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners and to draft and edit memos, letters, reports and proposals.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Possesses strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired.

Working Environment

  • This position is a fully remote position.
  • Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
