Key Responsibilities:

The Workday Reporting and Data Analyst works with the Workforce Planning and Analytics team to create reports and dashboards, gather and analyze data, and share knowledge and expertise in analytics and data modeling to help World Vision leaders make the right decisions about their people and support client groups to identify gaps and solutions and plan their workforce. The Analyst will build custom reports, dashboards, discovery boards, worksheets, and Prism datasets in Workday while working to centralize and streamline workforce reporting, creating operational insights to improve P&C (People and Culture team) efficiency and effectiveness, in support of Our Promise.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Produce Workday reports, dashboards, and insights.
  • Use P&C reporting tools and dashboards to show key performance indicators and patterns/insights/trends, identify areas of improvement in current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
  • Collaborate with any P&C initiative or project in which analytics is required for any current P&C system (such as Workday, moodle eCampus).
  • Understand and document requirements to deliver recurring, self-service, and special request reporting.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding data, reporting, and dashboards.

Report Administration:

  • Manage and improve P&C reporting tools and processes, particularly in Workday.
  • Regularly review and optimize report performance for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Design and develop reporting strategies to include standard operating procedures for data analysis and reporting.
  • Create and maintain calculated fields for reporting to avoid redundancy.

Operational/Tactical Workforce Planning:

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workforce planning and demand forecasting processes through collaboration with business leaders, P&C Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Identify and supply relevant tools and processes to the People and Organisation Capability team to drive effective talent management strategies.

Foster Data-Driven Culture:

  • Support capacity building in client groups to ensure widespread knowledge of analytics tools and processes.
  • Identify and demonstrate improved ways of working to solve problems, and encourage and support others to do the same.
  • Support audit and compliance efforts; help troubleshoot system and data issues.

Personal Development:

  • Stay up to date with developments in relevant technologies and trends and share relevant insights.
  • Continually strive to deepen knowledge and understanding of Workday and Power BI reporting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics/Business Analytics or related field.
  • 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a global HR function, of which 3 years should be in a role involving interpretation and use of data.
  • 3-5 years experience with Workday Report Writer, including experience with calculated fields and dashboards.
  • Understanding of the People & Culture function, core business processes, and an understanding of how People & Culture functions within a global context.
  • Proficient in data systems, analysis, and use of analytical tools.
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools/systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and train using a virtual medium.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous contexts and be able to provide direction to the team as needed.
  • Strong ability to think critically and solve problems creatively.
