Develop work plan for Child Protection, Livelihood, Wash and DRR interventions

  • The work plan in place which aligns with project proposal activity and target area for Child Protection, Livelihood, Wash and DRR output

Project orientation to smooth implementation

  • Organize community members including girls, boys, adolescences, women, men, village leaders, village authorities, and those who can influence the families to attend the trainings and awareness sessions in target area

Provide technical support and capacity building to beneficiaries

  • Attending TOT for Child protection, Livelihood, WASH and DRR related topics provided by WVM NO.
  • Conduct training and awareness of Child Protection, Livelihood, WASH and DRR related topic to selected beneficiaries.

Case Management

  • Attending TOT for case management provided by WVM NO Child Protection team
  • Support or manage CP cases as needed like sensitive, immediate safety issues and psychosocial support.
  • Be responsible for the referral of cases to other agencies in line with case management principles.
  • Regularly monitor and coach case management assistants and review caseloads to ensure equity of effort
  • Ensure confidential handling of individual case files and databases in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Provide cash grant to beneficiaries for their start/re-build/improve business

  • Attending cash distribution management including WVM policy and guideline for cash distribution training
  • Distribute cash grant to selected beneficiaries in line with policy and guideline
  • Monitoring to beneficiaries using the cash grant for start/re-build/improve their business

Monitoring and reporting

  • Provide implementation and monitoring data to project M&E person regularly

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experiences in working prefer in Kachin
  • Minimum of 2 years experiences in working as a Humanitarian worker
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Child Protection in conflict/humanitarian settings, preferably in the areas of Psychosocial Support in fragile context, Kachin is preferred

Required Education, training, license, registration and certification

  • Bachelor Degree in any discipline
  • Post-graduate diploma in development studies, community development, social science, rural development is preferred.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office computer programs and online applications

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Humanitarian Principle and Standards such as Do-No-Harm principle
  • Knowledge of CP, Livelihood, WASH, and DRR/CCA approaches in fragile context
  • Experience in organizing, preparing and delivering of community awareness training is essential.
  • Good knowledge and understanding on international Child Protection and national legal framework on child rights and child protection.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able in local dialects of Kachin State is required, some capacity to communicate in English is preferred.
  • Strong teambuilding, training, coaching & mentoring and facilitation skills
  • Understanding of program design, monitoring and evaluation
  • Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines.
