Voraussetzungen:

– Studierende (ab dem 3. Studienjahr) bzw. Absolvent*innen des Studiums der Rechtswissenschaften.
– Praktische Erfahrungen im österreichischen Asyl- und internationalen Flüchtlingsrecht sowie im Beratungsbereich.
– Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
– Kenntnisse weiterer Sprachen (z. B. Russisch, Arabisch, Persisch) sind von Vorteil.

Aufgaben:

– Beantwortung von Anfragen von Flüchtlingen und Asylsuchenden durch Verweis an die zuständige Regierungs- bzw. Nichtregierungsorganisation und erforderlichenfalls durch Einschreiten von UNHCR.
– Durchführung von rechtlichen Recherchen sowie Sammlung von Herkunftsländerinformationen.
– Unterstützung bei der Überwachung der Situation von Asylsuchenden und Flüchtlingen in Österreich.
– Vorbereitung diversen Schriftverkehrs und Unterstützung bei Sekretariatstätigkeiten.
– andere Tätigkeiten (bedarfsabhängig).

Praktikant*innen erhalten eine Aufwandsentschädigung von 1.398 Euro pro Monat (32 Wochenstunden). Im Fall des Bezugs eines praktikumsbezogenes Stipendiums zahlt UNHCR den Differenzbetrag, sofern dieser geringer ist, als die genannte Aufwandsentschädigung.
