Job Overview:
The Data Scientist supports IRC’s Seattle-based
Washington Migrant and Asylum Seeker Support (WA MASS) team within IRC’s Resettlement, Asylum & Integration (RAI) Department.
The WA MASS project utilizes a hub and spoke model to ensure coordination across all service areas and to provide customized care to each newcomer in navigating support and services as they rebuild their lives in the United States.
Acting in the role of the Newcomer Reception & Navigation Hub, the IRC WA MASS team will coordinate and lead a network of partner organizations in the provision of integrated resource navigation and referrals to recently arrived asylum seekers and other eligible migrants in
Washington State. At the same time, the Hub works with a network of Spoke organizations funded through the WA MASS project providing housing, legal assistance, and case management services, to ensure timely and accurate data submission, analysis, and reporting to the funder.
The Data Scientist will lead the implementation of data management, analysis, and data visualization.
