The Project Coordinator for this post will handle project implementation. He/she will be responsible for the delivery of quality programming and provision of technical support in the implementation of Enhancing Child Protection Preparedness through Stronger Collaboration of Local Government Units and Civil Society Organizations in the Localization of Comprehensive Emergency Program for Children through mobilization of CSO partner, Community Support Group, Children and young people in the local government units with close coordination with the Municipal local Disaster Risk Management Office, Local Social Welfare and Development Office, Municipal Health Office, Municipal local Government Operation Officer, Municipal Prosecutors Office, School District Supervisors of the municipalities of Upi and Datu Blah Sinsuat and the Province of Maguindanao del Norte.
The Project focus on raising awareness, build capacities, and promote preparedness of local stakeholders to prevent and respond to protection needs before and during crises.
It aims to reduce the vulnerabilities of children and child protection risks while increasing the humanitarian response capacity of local authorities, civil society organizations and communities to humanitarian crises. Project is also in line with the Philippine government’s mandate to implement the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act that provides for the development and implementation of the Comprehensive Emergency Program for Children (CEPC).
He/she will be expected to provide support with the Field manager to engage and influence an identified target government agency1 at national or regional level, and key stakeholders in the sector relevant to the post holder’s assigned program or project.
The post is responsible for leading the delivery of results through the effective management of an aggregate of programs and projects that are complementary and align with SCP’s Flagship Programs and the Country Strategy Plan. The postholder ensures the adherence of program delivery and/or advocacy/campaign initiatives to SC’s technical and quality standards including its Child Safeguarding and Safeguarding Protocols. The postholder is the purveyor of innovation, finding new and effective ways of improving program delivery and implements adaptive programming to respond to changing contexts/ situations in SCP’s areas of operation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The job holder should develop a strong understanding of Save the Children’s Vision and Mission and should be committed to its principles and objectives.
He/she should be willing to adopt the Save the Children methodology and framework in program implementation; and abide by and implement Save the Children Philippines Policies including the Safeguarding Policy.
