Job Overview/Summary: The RMA Coordinator is responsible for managing the provision of services to assist newly arrived refugee clients to attain self-sufficiency, short term cash assistance and referrals to employment services.

Specifically, the RMA Coordinator ensures services related to the administration of Refugee Medical Assistance services and with screening, enrollment, monthly cash assistance, and follow-up services by caseworkers are completed as well as orientations are provided to all eligible clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee and coordinate referred clients with the Resettlement Supervisor and/or Coordinator.

• Meet deadlines for enrollment of RMA services for each client to include eligible walk-ins.

• Host RMA Orientations on how to navigate US Medical Systems and HIPPA Laws

• Coordinate Medical Transportation Services for non-emergencies for eligible clients

• Coordinate Translation Services for medical appointments through RMA for eligible clients

• Advocate and coordinate efforts with doctor offices/clinics when clients receive medical bills

• Advocate and coordinate efforts on behalf of clients who require prescription coverages

• Assign clients to caseworkers and ensure equity across caseloads

• Assist with providing intake, assessment, and enrollment to a case load of Refugee Medical Assistance clients

• Ensure caseworkers are able to print & distribute RMA cards in a timely manner

• Ensure all clients are connected with referrals to eligible providers both internal and external

• Work with the RMA Caseworkers and SAS Supervisor and if needed WTOR to screen eligible clients for RMA eligibility

• Train caseworkers on register clients in e-RED and RMA eligibility; attend trainings facilitated by ORR

• Ensure referrals are made for RMA clients to case management services, employment services, ELI services, and other services as appropriate

• Ensure case files and reports are maintained in accordance with grant requirements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required in Social Work, or related field.

• 1 or more year experience processing RMA applications and demonstrated understanding of eligibility requirements for all clients, required.

• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.

Bilingual ability in Spanish highly desired.

Bilingual ability in Spanish, Arabic, Ukrainian or Dari/Pashto preferred.

• Proven success achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment.

Working Environment:

• A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

• Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.

• May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates.

Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.

Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
