JOB SUMMARY

Do you have strong senior-level audit experience and want to join a multilateral and multicultural organization that seeks to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean?

What you will do:

  • Contribute to establishing the strategic direction, objectives, and plans for AUG, including dynamic risk assessments and audit plans for the IDB Group, and lead the execution of said audit plans.

  • Contribute to the development of innovative tools, methodologies, internal procedures, policies, and internal audit approaches and strategies.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, including strong communication capabilities to handle difficult conversations and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff to build technical and human skills.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and growth across the AUG team by creating an environment where ideas are fostered and strengthening and challenging the teams in areas of less expertise.
  • Build on best practices and generate knowledge in key areas of expertise.

  • Represent AUG internally and externally and build and maintain networks to access and expand knowledge.
  • Work independently, accomplishing all expectations for the role with minimal supervision.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of audit presentations to Senior Management and to the Board through the Audit Committees.
  • Provide strategic insights and advice on key Group initiatives and changes.
  • Contribute to integrating data analytic capabilities to maximize client impact and results.
  • Collaborate with other oversight offices, risk management functions and external auditors to enhance the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes of the IDB Group.

What you’ll need:
