About you:

We’re looking for an exceptional and creative Social Media Manager to be a part of our tech-savvy, forward thinking team of digital marketers. In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll be a valued member of Save the Children Australia’s Marketing team in our head office in Melbourne CBD, collaborating with multiple teams across the organisation, shaping and driving our ambitious social media strategy and creating engaging, compelling and innovative content.

It’s an exciting time to be in marketing at Save the Children as we explore different methods of engagement and reach new audiences.

Across all our social media channels, we want you to help build Save The Children Australia’s brand and inspire donors to connect with our mission to save the lives of children here in Australia and around the world.

 

How you will make a difference:

  • Development, execution and continual evolution of the social media strategy including testing and optimisation plans informed by performance, data and insights
  • Create and curate a broad range of engaging social media content for our social media ecosystem that builds affinity with our audiences, and showcases our differentiators, the breadth of our programs and highlights the case for support
  • Nurturing and evolving close working relationships with key internal stakeholders across multiple teams such as Fundraising, Retail, and International Programs to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to communications planning
  • Developing and refining community engagement best practices, content plans and reporting
  • Identify and develop digital initiatives to drive engagement and advocacy

  • 3-5 years experience working in a Digital Marketing team, specialising in Social Media Marketing
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking and a willingness to be brave and explore new ideas and trends
  • Proven project/campaign management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proven content production skills (writing copy, sourcing/editing photos, sourcing video)
  • Ability to liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

 

Desirable knowledge or experience

  • Working knowledge of Adobe creative suite, Google Analytics, Canva, social media management tools such as HootSuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Anyaltics.

 

  • Previous NGO experience
