This position is located in the United Nations Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries, Gebze, Turkiye and the incumbent reports to Administrative Officer. The intern will support the team in the administration unit. Tasks will depend on the individual’s background as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Provide first-level support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems as needed.
• Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of IT procedures. • Work closely with the network team to understand and contribute to the administration of the organization’s network infrastructure, help in monitoring network performance and addressing connectivity issues. • Support the administration team to ensure compliance with IT standards. • Contribute to the IT assets and equipment records in the inventory system.
• Keeping abreast of the latest IT trends and technologies.
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. The internship will assist in preparatory works for annual council meeting, upcoming conferences/workshops/training/meetings in terms of IT support. The role will assist the team in IT related matters, report the issues to the relevant parties in timely manner and propose solutions to the extend of given responsibility. This internship is designed to be full-time and in-person.
The modality can be handled flexibly on request of the successful candidate.
