Democratic Republic of Congo Multi-Project Office (CDMCO)
The Democratic Republic of Congo Multi-Project Office (CDMCO) is responsible for developing, delivering, managing and implementing a portfolio of projects and programmes spread across 15 countries – Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Madagascar, Republic of Congo, and Rwanda – and includes 5 Small Island Developing States (SIDS) – Cape Verde, Comoros, Mauritius, Sao Tome & Principe, and Seychelles.
The CDMCO provides strategic direction, operational support, delivery oversight and assurance of the excellence of organizational processes and quality standards across all of the countries served by the Office, including the country (DRC) where the MCO is based.
The Central African Republic (CAR) Project Office
The Central African Republic (CAR) Project Office has a growing portfolio of over 100 million USD in projects, with more than 100 personnel.
The portfolio of the CAR Project Office has a range for projects, including: infrastructure rehabilitation and construction to multi-sectoral projects for social protection and peace and security.
The CAR Project Office operates as an integral part of the CDMCO management structure.
As part of the CDMCO, the CAR Project Office is responsible for developing, delivering and managing a large-sized portfolio of engagements and cost-effective services contributing to partners’ sustainable results and achievement of UNOPS management results.
Currently, CAR Project Office manages a portfolio of over $100 million, with 9 ongoing projects of diverse sectors and service types and over 100 personnel. The office has a strong business and partner opportunity pipeline in place.
The Role
Based in Bangui, the CAR Country Manager reports to the CDMCO Director who provides strategic direction, oversight, and guidance and the Head of Programme as secondary supervisor.
The CAR Country Manager also works in close collaboration with the MCO Head of Support Services.
The CAR Country Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and supervising the delivery of engagements and operations in CAR – including liaison and engagement development activities, achievement of Engagement Addition goals and targets, and delivering timely and cost-effective services for sustainable results by partners and stakeholders.

Based in Kinshasa, DRC, the UNOPS Multi country Office (CDOH) in Central Africa covers eleven countries including DRC, RC, CAR, Angola, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Rwanda, Burundi, and Madagascar.
The office has developed strong working relations with international partners, UN agencies including UN Missions and Governments across Central Africa over the years.
It provides technical support and capacity building in strategic development areas including infrastructure construction and rehabilitation and development across health, education, public works, governance/public administration sectors; procurement, project management, amongst others.
