The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners’ peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world.
UNOPS Congo Multi-country Office (CDMCO) is based in Kinshasa and covers 15 countries, in Central Africa, among which the African SIDS countries (Mauritius, Seychelles etc.). The Multi-country Office is responsible for managing the strategic and operational risks associated with part of the regional portfolio of commitments, while developing and delivering financially efficient services that contribute to sustainable results for partners and to the achievement of UNOPS managerial results. The key functions of the Partnership Development team are to develop business opportunities in the sub-region as well as to expand CDMCO’s program portfolio.
To expand our work in these countries, by strengthening our value proposition, fortifying our internal capacity to respond rapidly to funders’ and government’s requests, enhancing our added value in our contribution to UNCT in the UNSDCF process and to the country’s National Development Plans, UNOPS is recruiting multiple Partnership Senior Analysts to support the development of technical project proposals that will help to build further the portfolio in DRC, Burndi, Rwanda and the SIDS countries (Mauritius, Seychelles etc.).
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Multi-country Office Director and Head of Partnerships for the Multi-country Office, the Partnership Senior Analysts will conduct technical analyses, inputs and reviews for developing project documents and proposals in the area of (but not limited to) environment, agriculture, water, energy; particularly solar systems and mini grids.
The Partnerships Senior Analysts will work in close collaboration with the Partnership Development Unit team, Programme and project teams in CDMCO, for successful programme and project development activities to include their technical reviews and analyses.

UNOPS Congo Multi-country Office (CDMCO) intend to recruit four (4) Partnership Senior Analysts, each to be based in one the following countries: DRC, Burundi, Rwanda and the SIDS countries.
UNOPS reserves the right to offer a home-based contract to the selected candidates for any of the duty stations.

Impact of Results
Efficient and successful delivery of the results produced by the Partnership Senior Analyst impacts the performance of the multi-country office or partnership group by maintaining a strong and diversified pipeline of project opportunities, leading to sustainable growth of UNOPS presence and strengthening UNOPS management results and mandate fulfillment.
Education
– Master’s degree in business administration, social sciences, law, development and project management, or in a similar field is required.
– A bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, law, development and project management, or in a similar field with at least four (4) years’ professional experience will be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
Experience
– Minimum of two (02) years’ experience in administration and business development in the private sector, international organizations, or in an international context is required.
– Previous experience in research and analysis, including the development of SWOT, PESTLE and Competitive Analysis Matrix models is an asset.
– Experience in the preparation and submission of tenders is an asset.
– Previous relevant experience within the United Nations system is an asset.
– Experience in sectors such as health, climate/environment, energy and peace is a plus (encouraged and appreciated).
– Experience in the Central African Context or SIDS countries would be an asset.
Language requirements for this position
– Fluency in English is required.
– Fluency in French is required.
– Knowledge of Portuguese is desirable.
