Child Safeguarding
Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Health Project assistant will work in have a role in coordinating, implementing, reporting and monitoring of the project, under the health program with Save the Children International (SCI) in the UNHCR referral care project.
S/he will have significant responsibility for delivery of timely results and for coordination with governmental, partner and community stakeholders to ensure a coherent project model is established on the ground.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Project Manager
Dimensions: Save the Children International works in 13 regions in Egypt with a current staff complement of approximately 350+ staff and current expenditure of approximately US $13-15 million each year.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Operations Planning and Implementation
• Ensure that activities are implemented in accordance to the work plan and in timely manner and in line to project budget and with Project manager guidance.
• Responsible for organizing trainings, workshops.
• Supporting project team with administrative and logistical services;
• Prepare payments, advances and supervising the settlement of open advances.
• Prepare and follow up on all the procurement requests.
• Support in coordinating meetings with stakeholders.
Hub related tasks
• Regular reporting to the Health Project Manager.
• Draft concise, useful and analytical reports, case studies, and other documents as needed on a monthly Basis
• Collect and document the project Data.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 3-4 years of administrative/program support experience in an international agency.
• Familiarity/experience in international development, especially maternal, newborn, and child health, strongly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good knowledge and familiarity of reporting mechanisms and styles.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and negotiation.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Report writing skills in English required.
