Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Associate Operations Analyst is assigned to the Regional Cooperation and Integration Division (ERCI) within the Economic Research and Development Impact Department (ERDI).

You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to designated International Staff and National Staff.

Your Role

As an Associate Operations Analyst, you will provide administrative, analytical and operational support for the division’s operational activities and project processing and administration.

You will:

Technical Assistance Administration

  • Support the processing, administration, and management/implementation of Technical Assistance (TA) projects, including coordination among partners; help maintain project records in ADB systems; recruitment of consultants and management of consultant contracts; and collaborate with relevant ADB’s departments and offices to ensure contract management, disbursement, and other tasks as relevant.
  • Prepare/draft internal and external correspondences, such as memos for requests for additional financing, TA extension, letters of agreement, contract variations, and government concurrences.
  • Contribute to the review of project administration documents such as concept papers and draft TA reports; and apply project administration instructions outlining all the required details such as project description/scope and monitoring framework.

Research Support

  • Analyze relevant information related to the team/division to produce statistics/reports as instructed.
  • Provide analytical support for data gathering and graphical presentation of data for the division and other research priorities.

c.

Knowledge Management

  • Provide analytical and administrative support to the preparation of different briefing notes, presentations, reports, publications, and other knowledge products.
  • Help organize seminars, outreach events, both internal and external, including facilitating all budget requirements, advances and liquidations, payments to suppliers; drafting briefing notes for resource persons/speakers; and timely completion of logistical arrangements.

  • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned and reflected in your work plan.

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Social Science, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Skills in spreadsheets and graphics software used in multilateral organizations.
  • Experience working on confidential matters and those requiring urgent attention.
  • Experience with multi-lateral organization and in-depth knowledge of its diverse procedures and operations.
  • Experience working with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English.
