JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL INFORMATION
We are looking for a talented individual to work with us in the GGGI Lao PDR Country Program.
The internship is based in Pakse, Champasak Province, where GGGI is currently implementing a project to support wastewater management.
The assignment will include the following but not limited to:
- Support the project team in project implementation through events preparation, stakeholder (local and regional government, constructing companies, village authorities, etc.) engagement and coordination, background research, logistics and administrative tasks;
- Support organizing meetings, workshops/seminars, training, site visits, and other day to day operational activities of the office and project, petty cash expenditures follow up;
- Support drafting and preparing official letters, meeting minutes, and documentation of all activities of the office and project;
- Support Lao – English translation both written and oral;
- Provide ad-hoc support to GGGI Lao PDR Country Program.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants to the GGGI internship program must at the time of application meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s, or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
- Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work.
- Possess an good command of English.
QUALIFICATION
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate (bachelor), or graduate (master) degree in business administration, management, finance, environmental science, civil engineering, economics or relevant field.
- Experience working or volunteering on environmental topics is an advantage.
- Good command on spoken and written English and Lao is a must.
- Candidatures from Pakse and/or Champassak province will be prioritized.
