Under the overall supervision of the Chief, Legal Services Section, and in coordination with the responsible Senior Legal Officer, to:

Conduct research on questions of public international law and/or international administrative law;
Draft notes, including summaries setting out the results of such research;
Assist in reviewing legal documents;
Assist with preparations for outreach activities, such as workshops and seminars
Undertake other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications

Candidates for an internship must be at least 18 years of age and no more than 35 years of age;
At the time of application, the applicant must have completed at least a university degree in law, with a specialization in international law; advanced university degree in international law would be an asset;
Applications may be accepted up to two years after completion of a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Strong analytical and research skills are essential;
A good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications is essential;
Familiarity with electronic document management would be an asset.
Languages
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential;
Knowledge of other official CTBTO languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.
