This consultancy is based in Jakarta and offers remote work options.

As part of this assignment, there will be a maximum of 3 times trips to the respective locations covered by this assignment: Central Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Nusa Tenggara. The 3 times trips will be managed and covered by UN Women as part of the activity on the ‘Workshop for the Development of a Sub-National Action Plan on the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) from the Climate Change Impact.’

  • Ability to conduct research, analyse data/information, and present the relevant level of analysis concisely;

Required Skills and Experience

Education and Certification:

  • Master’s degree in development studies, social and political studies, humanitarian action, international relations, gender studies, disaster management, environment and climate change, or other related field is required.

Experience:

  • At least 10 – 15 years of progressively responsible work experience in the area of disaster management, social conflict, prevention of extremism/deradicalization, and gender equality programming.
  • Experience in conducting evidence-based policy advocacy for national &/sub-national governments.
  • Experience in developing policy documents related to Roadmap/Action Plan/Work Plan is required.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong drive for results and capacity to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; (Samples of previous work will be required.)

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required.
