JOB DETAILS

The Project and Partnership Analyst will support the IFI Partnerships Advisor to launch and implement the EC related workplan, coordinate country cooperation and linkages with other UNDP financing work, develop a partnership strategy and with liaison efforts with Sustainable Finance Advisory Hub partners.

 

Scope of Work

Project coordination

  • Coordinate across workplan outputs and their respective teams to ensure alignment across areas of work and resource allocations.
  • Contribute to workplan implementation and tracking of country level progress and updates, and input to the monitoring plan design.
  • Develop terms of reference for areas of work in collaboration with lead experts.
  • Draft progress reports and updates for project board meetings.

Partnership building

  • Liaise with the EC team and other implementing partners including identification of opportunities for further cooperation.
  • Strengthen linkages across the project teams and SFH offer teams to ensure leveraging of expertise and partners.
  • Contribute to the development of a partnerships strategy including with financial institutions.
  • Draft analysis and mapping of related work globally to inform technical assistance approaches and partnership building.
  • Provide trend and opportunity analysis to inform Sustainable Finance Hub of IFI/DFI interest including supporting teams to engage IFIs/DFIs in their work at global and country level.

Knowledge Management and Communications

  • Identify and synthetize lessons learnt and best practices in the area of work, working with the Hub Secretariat to implement communications plan.
  • Develop presentation materials.
  • Actively promote a knowledge sharing and learning culture.

The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Institutional Arrangement

  • Reporting to the IFI Partnerships Advisor/Financial Institutions, the Project and Partnership Analyst will support the day-to-day implementation and efficient execution of the Sustainable Finance Advisory Hub and related work globally. The Analyst will support the coordination of the project with UNDP Country offices and its partners; engaging stakeholders and facilitating linkages between teams, existing partners and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications of the Successful IPSA

 

Min. years of relevant work experience              

  • Minimum of 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of combined experience in project management, partnerships, policy analysis or development finance.

Required skills

  • Experience in development and/or sustainable finance, climate finance, funding/financial institution sectors.
  • Experience in project management and coordination of partners in development finance space.

Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section     

  • Proven track record of experience with policy and data analysis is an advantage.
  • Experience in political, social and economic research tools and financing instruments relevant to UNDP is an advantage.
  • Professional experience within the United Nations System, donor or within an IFI is a plus.
