Unit Context:

The ITS Corporate Digital Engagement (ITSCD) is a unit within the ITS Corporate Solutions department (ITSCO) that delivers cutting-edge information and technology applications to enhance intranet and communications for staff, external audiences, donors, member countries, and other key stakeholders. Focusing on modernizing the Bank’s digital engagement, ITSCD collaborates with clients to design solutions that enhance client responsiveness, boost organizational effectiveness, and manage risks. Additionally, the unit provides technology solutions that streamline end-to-end budgeting processes and support cost allocation management.

Position Overview:

The ITS Corporate Digital Engagement (ITSCD) unit is looking for an Information Architect and Business Analyst for the team supporting the intranet and mobile apps development. They are responsible for designing and structuring the information architecture of the intranet to ensure optimal usability, accessibility, and content organization. This role involves analyzing business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, and translating them into technical specifications. The Information Architect and Business Analyst will work closely with the intranet development team to create user-friendly interfaces, streamline content management, and improve the overall user experience. Additionally, they will monitor and assess the effectiveness of the intranet, recommending enhancements to meet evolving business goals.

Job Responsibilities:

•Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to the intranet.

•Develop and maintain the information architecture for the intranet, ensuring a logical, user-friendly structure.

•Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements for the IT team.

•Create wireframes, sitemaps, and navigation flows that guide users through the intranet efficiently.

•Conduct user research and usability testing to refine the architecture based on feedback.

•Collaborate with the intranet focal points to organize content in a way that enhances accessibility and user experience.

•Ensure compliance with best practices for information security and data management.

•Facilitate workshops and meetings to align business objectives with IT capabilities.

•Analyze current intranet performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations.

•Support the development of business cases for new intranet features or enhancements.

 

Selection Criteria

 

•Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•At least 5 to 7 years of experience in information architecture and business analysis within an IT or digital environment.

•Proven experience in designing and implementing information architectures for intranet or web-based platforms.

•Strong background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical specifications.

•Experience working with content management systems and familiarity with intranet technologies.

•Experience with various system development lifecycle methodologies and tailoring the artifacts to those methodologies.

•Experience with Agile methodologies.

Skills and Competencies:

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

•Proficiency in tools such as wireframing software, business analysis software, and project management tools.

•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

•Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
