IFC’s Treasury Client Solutions Department is a client-facing transaction-structuring and execution team that provides IFC’s clients with innovative fixed-income solutions. The group has global responsibility for derivative transactions, structured products, local currency solutions, and debt capital markets solutions. 

The department is looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our data ecosystem. This position offers the opportunity to produce insightful analytics and visualizations for a diverse set of stakeholders, coordinate the development of improved data infrastructure, and contribute to strategic decision making for the department and for IFC’s senior management. The position will be based in London. 

Duties and Accountabilities:

•  Design and implement the department’s data strategy to enhance productivity and produce strategic insights for IFC’s management and contribute to automation initiatives;
•  Design, implement and enhance the department’s data repositories as well as effective processes and instruments to effectively capture relevant operational data;
•  Collect, process, integrate, and analyze diverse data from internal and external sources;
•  Closely collaborate with other units across the organization to facilitate data exchange and ensure the department is aligned with corporate-wide initiatives and standards;
•  Deliver relevant analytics, visualizations, and presentations for decision-making committees and management;
•  Contribute to client presentations, external knowledge pieces, and internal management briefings by integrating quantitative and qualitative information; and
•  Train and mentor colleagues in data-related topics and instruments.

 

Selection Criteria

•  Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Data visualization, Machine learning or a related field;
•  At least 5 years of proven experience in data management, data analysis, or a related field, ideally in the context of financial services or treasury environment;
•  Knowledge of fixed income products, derivatives, and/or structured credit products and familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Thomson Reuters would be desirable;
•  Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in data analysis tools and languages including SQL, R, Python and good familiarity with databases and business visualization software (such as Tableau, Power BI or similar);
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and produce actionable insights and visualizations to support strategic decision-making;
•  Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery under conflicting priorities and to pay attention to detail under tight deadlines;
•  Highly motivated, results-oriented team player with an enthusiasm to work on complex products, a “can do” attitude and ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries;
•  Strong oral and written communication skills and proven ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders; and
•  Strong sense of ethics and integrity, particularly in handling sensitive financial data; and
•  Commitment to continuous learning and flexibility to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a rapidly changing environment.
