Background
UNDP Procurement Unit in Viet Nam provides procurement services to UNDP Office, UNDP projects as well as other UN Agencies in and outside Vietnam. The Unit needs one national intern to provide procurement support service to the unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
The selected intern is requested to provide the following procurement support to the procurement unit in compliance with UNDP procurement rules and regulations:
- Conducting small value procurement case via micro purchase
- Preparing evaluation documents for evaluators to evaluate
- Obtaining reference checks for the selected vendors
- Getting vendor information for vendor creation
- Sending approved contracts for DocuSign by approvers and contractors
- Contacting Long Terms Agreement holders for requested services
- Generating monthly expiry contract reports based on unit master file
- Record cost recovery on the system for the services provided by the unit
- Updating UNDP rosters
- File, copy and scan documents
- Provide support to the Travel Assistant on pouch, registry, payment, transportation, travel if required
- Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor

Required Skills and Experience
Applicants to the UNDP internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
(a) Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
(b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
(c) Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
(d) Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
Applicants should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Be able to communicate in English and Vietnamese effectively
- Good command of computer skills: MSWord and Excel are required
Desired qualification and experience:
- A degree or certification in administration or similar is an advantage
- 01 year of working experience in administrative and/or procurement support is an asset
