TITLE: Medical Claims Admin TEAM/PROGRAMME: Program Operations, Health Team LOCATION: Cairo GRADE: 6 CONTRACT LENGTH: till 31 December 2024 CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)

Level 2: either the post holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or the post holder will be working in a ‘regulated’ position (accountant, barrister, solicitor, legal executive); therefore, a police check will be required (at ‘standard’ level in the UK or equivalent in other countries).

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Admin provides administrative support to the claims department, S/He Performs a variety of associated administrative tasks in support of the Medical Claims Unit. Coordinates specified administrative activities across multiple medical health care providers.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Claims Officer

Staff reporting to this post: N/A

Role Dimensions: Close coordination with elective and emergency teams, Finance unit and contracted health care providers.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Setting up and maintaining filing systems for records

· Receiving medical claims and thoroughly reviewing them to ensure no missing information or documentation.

· Provide support to the Claims Unit as required

· Maintain an efficient filing system of all claims

· File claims, enter data, and update databases with current daily information.

· Contacts health service providers, hubs, and others to locate information or documentation regarding medical claims.

· Handling cash payments with healthcare providers

· Ensure SCI policies and procedures are being adhered to improve program operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor degree in relevant administrative field is required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Required

· A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the administrative field

· Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

· Working knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel).

· Commitment to Save the Children International values

Desirable

  • 2-3 years of experience in medical claims administration.
  • Good knowledge of Child Safeguarding will be an added advantage.
  • Previous work with refugees/asylum seekers is a plus.
