The Opportunity
The Officer-Health Information System (HIS) is responsible for providing technical and operational documentation and analytical support on the existing software systems being used and related ICT applications for the Health and Nutrition Programme. S/he needs to comprehend ongoing HIS digitalization processes, formats, tools, techniques etc along with that associated with program and MEAL documentation. S/he must have a vast knowledge of how mobile-web-based database system functions for program delivery and performance reporting purposes. S/he will frequently communicate with program components, field hospital & PHCC staff to comprehend information requirements, and will be responsible for required internal and external reporting daily, weekly, and monthly. Analyze the processes to produce a prototype structure to formulate how the requirements can be best fit to the existing system or propose necessary enhancement of the system to make it more responsive to the requirements. S/he will keep track of the progress of such development and at every step, s/he will ensure quality of the flawless deliveries. S/he will continuously check for discrepancies in the software tools as well as recommend corrective measures to the HIS development team.

Qualifications and Experience
• At least 3 years of professional track records on similar activities in a large-scale complex database platform (preferably in the Health & Nutrition system).
• Master’s Degree, preferably in Health Economics/ Public Health/ Environmental Science/ Information System/ Statistics or a relevant discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and IMPACT software and related ICT applications- SC Emeralds
• Technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development, and user support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Written communication skills both in English and Bangla.
• Should be conversant in mobile web applications and should be fluent in working with Kobo Collect/Surveyor, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Prioritization of assigned tasks and executing them accordingly in a dedicated manner is one of the key capacities of this position.
