Job Profile
This position also responsible for leading technical design processes, contributing for the Strategy development, Strategic networking, providing technical support to Grant opportunities & cooperate partnerships and sector integration initiatives. He/ She should well be updated with the new trends, Approaches, Project models and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes. Also responsible for providing the technical support to HEA in developing the response design and rollout plans during an emergency situation. This position also support the Advocacy initiatives related to Integrated Nutrition and Campaign activities.
Major Responsibilities
- Contribute to the formulation and revision of the organizational strategy to ensure the sector priorities are reflected within the national strategy in alignment with Our Promise Strategic Imperatives.
- Ensure Sector, Crosscutting, Advocacy, F&D integration in the designing and Implementation of Technical Programme.
- Provide technical guideline at national and field level to ensure programmes adapt appropriate technologies, project models and approaches to achieve TP/ project targets.
- Provide technical guidance & support at National and Field level to align the technical program implementation as per the design while addressing the gaps identified through process/impact monitoring.
- Provide Technical advice and guidance in developing the Humanitarian response plan, guidelines and trainings in collaboration with Internal and external partners.
- Provide guidance/Advice to the field Team in developing Annual and Semiannual reports, Annual budgeting and planning and review sample reports of each Region and provide recommendations for improvement
- Actively and professionally, represent WV at technical forums, working groups, and consultative sessions, with peers, donors and government to better positioning of WVL in the development field
- Maintain effective relationships with Sector specific National and Provincial Government agencies and Ministries to better support TP implementation, mutual learning, build rapport etc.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
- At least 5 years’ experience in development sector with 3 years in Health and Nutrition development
- Master’s in Public Health/Nutrition, preferred added qualification in from a recognized University with minimum of 5 years’ experience working directly in the H&N sector. Membership of a professional body is preferable
- Extensive knowledge on national and provincial policies and national and international trends of implementing Health & Integrated Nutrition programs.
- Integrating with other sectors in developing programme approaches
- Experience in working on CSR projects
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills in English & Sinhala/ Tamil.
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
