The group provides and supports software solutions for CERN’s engineering community, comprising of both on-site engineering teams and external collaborating partners. One of the group’s main activities is the implementation, evolution and continuous support of CERN’s PLM platform, used to manage design data and technical documentation for the entire Organization. We are currently in the challenging process of replacing our existing landscape of silo applications by a modern PLM platform. This new PLM will become one of the centrepieces for managing the digital thread of engineering data. In addition to the PLM activities, the group provides many other engineering software solutions, including Enterprise Asset Management, Work Permitting as well as multi-CAD system support on a CERN-wide basis. This integrated portfolio of applications contains information about millions of equipment, many being part of unique installations with very long lifecycles. In total, over 10’000 users depend on the software solutions provided by the group.
Functions
As a PLM solution architect and application engineer you will be a key member of the PLM Service team providing CERN’s engineering design community with a wide range of applications in an integrated engineering data management environment.
You will:
Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of mechanical, electrical or computing engineering or a related field.
