The Senior Director, Equity and Social Cohesion leads a cross-organizational process of analysis, evidence review, and organizational planning to identify, develop and drive innovative approaches to addressing complex development challenges within FHI 360’s new Center for Advancing Equity and Social Cohesion. The Senior Director will report to the SVP of the Strategic Growth group in FHI 360’s Global Operations. This role is pivotal in shaping the new Center’s strategic vision and operational activities to address global challenges, influence markets, and capitalize on business opportunities aligned with FHI 360’s strategy. The Senior Director spearheads the development of long-term operational plans and overall organizational strategy essential for achieving impact on the designated Big Global Challenge (BGC) of Eroding Social Cohesion and Increasing Inequality.
The Senior Director will work closely with organizational leaders to identify priority growth areas, establish partnerships, secure coalitions, manage portfolio growth, facilitate thought leadership, shape markets, elevate FHI 360’s profile, and secure business in new growth areas. The Senior Director will coordinate with key internal stakeholders, including the VP, Business Development and Partnerships, and technical teams across global operations, ensuring responsiveness to changing needs and fostering harmonized business development planning. The Senior Director is also the main point of contact for the Chief Impact Officer and Chief Strategy and Evidence Officer, facilitating alignment with advocacy, policy positions, and impact metrics for equity and social cohesion. Recognized as a thought leader, the Senior Director guides critical issues, utilizing extensive knowledge to shape ideas and principles. Collaboration within and outside Global Operations is crucial for achieving organizational objectives.
This position can be based in any country where FHI 360 has a registered office, and where the candidate has relevant work authorization.

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
US Based Hiring Salary Range: $180,000 – $225,000
International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
