Job Profile

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the building, management, and data analysis of the World Vision Lanka (WVL) – Programme Information Management System (PIMS).

Major Responsibilities

  • Assess the organization’s information needs and design systems to fulfill those requirements.
  • Develop, implement, configure, and maintain Programme Management Information Systems (PMIS) to support business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of PMIS with existing systems.
  • Work closely with the Evidence & Learning (E&L) department work units, including MEAL Sponsorship, MEAL Non-Sponsorship, and Research, to create and maintain an efficient database aligned with the information requirements of internal stakeholders.
  • Formulate relevant guidelines and train staff to ensure the seamless operation of the database.
  • Administrate World Vision’s specialized Programme Management Information System (PMIS) (iMPAQ) at the national level.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on PMIS functionality and best practices.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports based on organizational needs.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand their information requirements and ensure PMIS meets their needs.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard organizational data.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • 3 years of experience in MIS, MEAL, research, statistical analysis etc. with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Engineering/ Town Planning or a related field. Or 5 years of experience in MIS, MEAL, research, statistical analysis etc. with a Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Engineering/ Town Planning or a related field
  • Proven experience as an PMIS Specialist or Data Analysis OR in a similar role/ experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent written /verbal communication in English and Sinhala / Tamil
