JOB DESCRIPTION

Background:

UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.

Under the guidance of the Central Asian Alliance EGBV Coordinator (hereinafter – Coordinator), the National consultant shall be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

  1. Consolidating data of CA Alliance EGBV members registration forms
  • Consolidating data and developing summary of the Alliance registered members via Google Registration form
  • Assist with developing criteria for the Alliance membership

2. Thematic groups meetings 

  • Assist Alliance Secretariat with organizing sessions within Thematic groups
  • Consolidating materials from Virtual Knowledge Platform and assisting with development of the agenda for the sessions
  • Support with forming reports after the sessions

3. Virtual Knowledge Platform (VKP)

  • Monitoring data inputted Virtual Knowledge Platform
  • Uploading materials of CA Alliance EGBV
  • Consolidating thematic groups meetings for data inputted to the VKP
  • Monitoring regional news with regional partners

4. Regional steering committee and Advisory monitoring group

  • Assist and provide inputs to the process of developing terms of references (TOR) for the regional steering committee and assist in organizing sessions of the Advisory monitoring group
  • Assist with forming reports after the sessions.

5. Support to CA Alliance EGBV consultants

  • Gathering data and materials by request, providing networking meetings, assisting in meetings with regional partners
  • Assist with requested administrative support.

6. Support with Civil society organizations and grant-making mechanism

  • Providing technical support with monitoring over the implementation of the grant-making mechanism and providing assistance with Civil society organizations

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in administration, logistics, project support
  • At least 3 years of experience in working on the Regional Programmes in GBV area (for example, the Spotlight Initiative).
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is mandatory
  • Experience working with international organizations/UN is an asset
  • Experience working in ERP system is an asset.

Languages:

  • Excellent Fluency in English and Russian is required.
