The position is centered on providing support for the roll-out of the key initiatives in the Supply Community unit of the Human Resources Centre in Supply Division, Copenhagen. The unit works as a coordination point for a range of processes dedicated to a global community of over 1,300 staff members, which we call Supply Community.
In agreement with the supervisor, the UN Volunteer will provide assistance in the following areas:
Analysis, update and maintenance of HR Data related to staff in the Supply Community providing emergency response globally
• Regular update and monitoring of emergency deployments and stretch assignments across the Supply Community.
• Monitor the Surge Monitoring Database to ensure timely updates.
• Generate Excel reports, and Power BI dashboards to present data findings and recommendations to support decision-making.
Surge Support and Maintenance of the Supply Emergency and Surge Roster
• Contribute to the expansion of the current roster mechanism for emergency support, including processing of new applications, validation, and monitoring of existing roster membership.
• Provide support with the communication plan for the roster expansion, including updating the SharePoint page, drafting of the email communication with candidates and Yammer communication.
• Based on specific requests from UNICEF offices, support in the screening of roster candidates for the swiftly identification of suitable personnel for urgent and emergency support.
Rotation and Career Development
• Provides assistance to rotation exercises for UNICEF supply function, including data management, analysis and reporting of Supply Division documentation.
• Assists the career development initiatives for the Supply Community, including stretch assignments.
Support the roll-out of key initiatives across the Supply Community
• Contribute to the launch, and subsequent monitoring and maintenance of the Supply Community Power BI dashboard.
• Assist in the preparation of meetings and webinars relevant to the Supply Community, including document preparation, and drafting of notes.
• Support the Supply Community Unit in evaluating and improving ongoing projects through data-driven insights.

The UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging for his/her own housing, transport, and other living essentials.
UN Volunteer entitlements and allowances:
The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service. Monthly Living Allowance (Per month): DKK 24474.08
Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 400

Annual leave: 2.5 days accrued per calendar month
Certified sick leave: 30 days per consecutive 12 months
