TITLE: Consortium Safer Partnership Coordinator
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Partnership/Safeguarding LOCATION: Kabul (50% travel to field)

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Consortium Safer Partnership Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the roll-out of the Safer Partnership approach across SCI Afghanistan Country Office and field offices. The Safer Partnership initiative aims to ensure that all SCI awarded projects with partner organisations are safe for children, adult beneficiaries and staff. Coordinator will specifically be responsible for the rollout of Safer Partnership COSA and Rollout of Annual Action plan for each partner organisation including evaluation and monitoring, to engage experts from different functions under the technical guidance of Head of Safeguarding, reroute queries from the partner organisations and field offices.
As part of the roll-out, the coordinator is responsible to make the existing safeguarding tools and documents easily accessible for the partner organisation and Country office including field offices, to assess potential gaps and develop a tool development roadmap as needed.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Role Dimensions: This is a demanding role that requires excellent project management skills; an ability to design clear and focused plans and drive their implementation; strong written and verbal communications skills; and an ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities. The post holder will need to work in a dispersed project structure that includes a core presence in Kabul, but with stakeholders and team members working within Save the Children field offices across the country.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Organise the Training and capacity building periodic workshops on Safer partnership to onboard country office and field office NNGOS relevant teams to help identify role and responsibilities of each.
• Organise the kick-off and onboarding webinars for Co and field offices per quarter
• Liaise with field offices and partner organisations to ensure that they appoint a lead from each office. Deliver part of the webinars, and organise trained focal points to deliver remaining sessions and support in rollout of Safer partnership COSA.
2. Support program implementation teams in Country Office/field office and at partner organsitaion with the roll-out and implementation
• Be the first point of contact for queries, both on safeguarding and practical questions
• Where needed, re-route queries to the technical Safeguarding teams including Head of Safeguarding.
3. Evaluate and monitor performance of the roll-out
• Ensure that Afghanistan Country Office completes Safeguarding self-assessments together with their partners
• Collect and analyse the results of the assessment, escalate problems and risks to line manager
• Regularly check-in with the project leads in country to ensure progress and identify early warnings for delay in milestones
• Report on progress to line manager, prepare documentation to inform stakeholders and propose interventions where needed
• Adjust approach and way of working where needed to ensure a successful roll-out
4. Make existing Safer Partnership tools and documents easily accessible and ensure that the tools are kept up to date
• Ensure that the partnership tools and documents are easily accessible to all
• Maintain a user friendly OneNet page (SCI’s intranet) for Safer Partnerships
• Ensure that the partnership tools and documents are kept up to date
• Ensure that any feedback on the tools from field offices and partner organisation is captured
• Flag if there is the need to update tools or develop new tools, and develop a development plan together with Head of safeguarding
• Create Dashboard of Progress to be shared with Head of Safeguarding and DCD Ops on Quarterly basis.
5. Ad hoc / unexpected activities required for successful implementation of the Safer Partnership approach and or delivery of the above areas of accountability.
6. Build NNGOs partners capacity on fraud risk management.
7. Travel to partner field office and engaging field teams.
8. Any other assigned duty by Head of Safeguarding to strengthen Safer Partnership Rollout , implementation and due diligence processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Social science or any other related field.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
• 5 (Five) years of experience in the area of child safeguarding with international organizations.
• Project management skills and experience related to multi-stakeholder projects for complex, international organisations and involving cross-functional teams
• A track record of delivering results
• Facilitation skills
• Ability to organise own work efficiently, prioritise, and deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Fluency in English
• Excellent networking / relationship building capabilities
• Basic Excel skills to capture, organise and consolidate data
