The Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (ECARO) supports Country Offices and Governments to advance towards the full realization of all child rights across the region with a country presence in 23 countries and territories to ensure that no child is left behind. The Regional Office plays both a technical advisory and oversight role, guiding country offices in designing, implementing and documenting results for children.
In this context, the Supply & Logistics Specialist will support market shaping activities in the region.
How can you make a difference?
The incumbent of this position will closely work with the Regional Chief of Supply providing market analysis to potentially identified national manufacturers to become global suppliers of UNICEF standard goods and services.
The achievement of the above goals will support the growth of the suppliers’ base in the region for different UNICEF markets, consequently strengthening the regional economy, and reduce freight cost and carbon emission in the deliveries.

Minimum requirements:
A valid professional certification (CSCP; CSCM; CPSM; SCMP; etc.) from an accredited supply management institution, in conjunction with a relevant first-level university degree (Bachelor’s), may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
A first level university degree (Bachelor’s) in a relevant technical field (as identified above), in conjunction with seven (7) years of professional experience in supply, logistics, purchasing, contracting, administration and/or other directly related technical fields, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Work experience with SAP data management experience is considered an asset.
Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is an asset.
Ability to initiate and manage change in a diverse environment.
Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
Ability to manage and monitor the effective use of financial and material resources.
