The Role and Scope:

 

The Gender, Diversity, Inclusion, and Protection (GDIP) Advisor is a strategic leadership position within Program team and act as the key technical expert and program lead of GDIP for Plan International Bangladesh. This role will be responsible for positioning PIB internally and externally and advocate for gender equality, diversity, and inclusion as a thought leader for both development and emergency context. This position will set program vision, develop strategy and determine success factors in alignment with country strategy that advance gender equality, ensure protection & inclusive program in all diversity in both development and humanitarian crisis. This position is responsible to ensure children, adolescents, and youth (CAY) have equitable access to, participation in, and benefits from and act as decision makers for both humanitarian and development programing aligning with the country strategy.

This role is to ensure the organization is technically supported by contextually appropriate, relevant and best practices integrated projects and strategic vision in order to achieve program outcomes. This role is essential in designing, implementing, and scaling gender-transformative programs that protect and empower children, adolescents, and youth, especially girls and young women. By drawing from best practices across the organization, the Advisor aims to achieve program outcomes that advance gender equality, ensure protection, and promote inclusivity in both development and humanitarian contexts. The post holder responsible to ensure that gender and inclusive approach embedded in programmes by ensuring mainstreaming and roll out of gender equality quality benchmark in full project cycle management process and generate and use learning.

The post holder will provide leadership to ensure that the program is grounded in intersectional gender and power analysis, and supports the design and implementation of gender-transformative and inclusive monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems to demonstrate impact. This role includes sharing learning across teams and partners and focuses on external representation on priority issues such as child-centered gender and power analysis, girls’ empowerment, and gender-based violence, which are central to gender-transformative rights-based approaches across thematic areas. The role supports national advocacy and influencing efforts while driving strategic partnerships to advance gender equality. In the event of a humanitarian emergency, the post holder will provide technical leadership in designing and operationalizing the response program.

Duration: Two Years

Salary: Monthly consolidated salary range for this role is 287,183 BDT – 358,979 BDT (may vary based on experience) along with other benefits i.e. Life Insurance, Hospitalization Insurance coverage along with Out Patient Treatment Benefit.
