Gender Based Violence (GBV) Innovation project: Advancing Economic Empowerment of GBV Survivors in Humanitarian Settings through Evidence and Localized Action for Gender Transformative Change
Who are we?
Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is looking for a highly qualified Project Officer to support a multi-country project on generating evidence on gender-based violence and economic recovery integrated programming funded by United States Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration Department. The project is managed globally by DRC`s Global Protection Unit, Department for Strategy, Programme and Learning (SPL), together with Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), and with in-country implementation from DRC and local partners in Jordan, Lebanon, Uganda, and Niger.
About the job
The Project Officer will be based at the Global Protection Unit (GPU) at DRC´s Headquarters in Copenhagen, leading the implementation of a global donor roundtable taking place in Geneva, Switzerland 26-28 November 2024. The Project Officer will be responsible for ensuring procurement administrative and logistical arrangements for the event as well as with the development of visibility materials. The project officer will report to DRC´s Global Project Manager, and also work closely with the Global Project Coordinator, The Global Project co-lead from Women´s Refugee Commission (WRC), DRC colleagues and local partner staff in the four countries of implementation, as well as international donors. The tasks will include, but not be limited to:

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in project management and mobilising and networking with a variety of stakeholders.

We offer:
Workplace: Copenhagen (DRC HQ), Denmark with travel to Geneva for the global donor roundtable. Please note that you need to have right to work in Denmark in order to be considered for this role.
Start date: As soon as possible.
Duration: 3-3.5 months (until 15 December) due to funding.
Salary: In accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC at “fuldmægtig” level. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
